VP Chiwenga in Cairo for the second edition of the Africa Health ExCon

VICE President General Rtd Dr Constantino Chiwenga was met at Cairo International Airport by the Egyptian Minister of Health and Population, Professor Khaled Abdel Ghaffar ahead of the second edition of the Africa Health ExCon.

The President of Egypt, His Excellency, PAbdel Fattah El-Sisi is expected to officially open the conference which is the largest annual medical exhibition in Africa running from June 6 to June 9.

This ExCon aims to create a sustainable platform connecting the world’s healthcare buyers and suppliers under one common roof, giving a platform for healthcare partners to interact and support the flow of trade business.

The event also attracts investments in the health sector and creates competitiveness among major health companies in Africa presenting a great opportunity to exchange experiences and knowledge.

The Zimbabwean delegation comprises officers from the Ministry of Health and Child Care, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the National Pharmaceutical Company of Zimbabwe, and the Zimbabwe Investment Development Agency as the country looks for strategic partnerships to strengthen its pharmaceutical industry.

The three-day conference will be running under the theme ‘Placing Africa as a continental hub for health innovation and trade.’
