Former POLAD Members Join ZANU PF

ZANU PF Political Commissar, Cde Munyaradzi Machacha

Several former members of the Political Actors Dialogue (POLAD) have joined the ruling ZANU PF party, citing the party’s policies and leadership as key factors behind their decision.

Among those who crossed over is former POLAD Chief of Protocol, Cde Welcome Shumba, who said the group was drawn by what he described as inclusive leadership under President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

“We made this decision after observing the work being done by President Emmerson Mnangagwa and ZANU PF. We realised that ZANU PF is the party that prioritises the interests of the people,” said Cde Shumba.

The new members were formally welcomed into the party by ZANU PF National Political Commissar, Cde Munyaradzi Machacha, who described their move as a positive development for the ruling party.

“You have made the right decision. ZANU PF is a big organisation, and we are guided by our leader, President Emmerson Mnangagwa, to welcome everyone with open arms. We are a home for all Zimbabweans,” said Cde Machacha.

He added that as a revolutionary party, ZANU PF remains committed to working with all citizens to improve livelihoods and drive national development.

ZANU PF has in recent years intensified empowerment programmes through its various party structures, focusing on economic participation and social upliftment across communities.
