National Hero, Archbishop Paul Mwazha burial date set

Archbishop Paul Mwazha, a National Hero and founder of the African Apostolic Church, will be buried on November 30, 2025, in Chirasauta, Chikomba District. President ED Mnangagwa recognised his contributions to family unity and the nation at large, conferring him with the national hero status.

MOURNING ARRANGEMENTS:

  • November 28, 2025: Body lies in state at Hatfield home in Harare
  • November 28, 2025 (1900hrs-2000hrs): Church service at family home, Hatfiled, Harare
  • November 29, 2025 (1600hrs-0600hrs): Body viewing at Guvambwa shrine, Chikomba District
  • November 30, 2025 (0900hrs-1200hrs): Burial proceedings, Chirasauta, Chikomba District

The public is invited to pay respects to the revered cleric, remembered for gospel preaching, family unity, and church empowerment initiatives, leaving a legacy of humility and faith.
