President Mnangagwa to Open Eswatini Trade Fair, Boost Ties

Cross-border leadership. President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, His Excellency Emmerson Mnangagwa, will officially open the 57th Eswatini International Trade Fair during the country’s National Day celebrations, reinforcing regional integration.

President Mnangagwa arrived in Eswatini on September 5, 2025, and was received at King Mswati III International Airport by the Eswatini Prime Minister and Zimbabwe’s diplomatic corps. He will join His Majesty King Mswati III to launch the trade fair at Somhlolo Stadium.

The 10-day fair, focusing on business, culture, and trade, will host exhibitions, forums, and bilateral discussions, providing Zimbabwean exporters and policymakers a platform to deepen trade linkages and advance the “Zimbabwe is Open for Business” agenda.

This engagement reflects Zimbabwe’s strategic push under the Second Republic to strengthen regional trade. By leveraging forums like the Eswatini Trade Fair, Zimbabwe aims to expand export pathways for value-added goods, enhance bilateral cooperation, and showcase its economic potential.
