The significant event marks the commencement of nationwide independence celebrations. The Independence Flame will traverse the width and breath of the Midlands Province’s districts before arriving in Gokwe, the hosts of this year’s national celebrations where His Excellency President ED Mnangagwa will preside over the celebrations.

The event, set for April 18, aligns with the government’s decentralization drive under the theme “Zim@45: Devolve and Develop Together Towards Vision 2030.”

With just a week remaining, infrastructure developments is almost complete, with final touches being carried out.

The rehabilitation of the Kadoma-Sanyati-Nembudziya road is also advancing to ensure smooth access to the venue.

As per tradition, the President Dr ED Mnangagwa will host a Children’s Party, on April 17. 3 050 child delegates are expected to participate, arriving at Nyamuroro High School on April 15 and departing on April 19.

Residents and local youths have embraced the ongoing developments, viewing them as a sign of the Second Republic’s commitment to inclusive development.

As the date approaches, the final phase of preparations is expected to cement Nembudziya’s place in history as the host of this year’s national event.
