Police Intercept Broncleer Cough Syrup Shipment, Arrest One in Kadoma

Detectives from CID Drugs and Narcotics, Harare, intercepted a foreign-registered Toyota Quantum kombi transporting Broncleer Cough Syrup from Bulawayo to Harare on April 1, 2025. Acting on a tip-off, authorities stopped the vehicle at Kadoma Toll Gate along the Harare-Bulawayo Road, leading to the arrest of Rodrick Chambe (39).

The driver of the kombi managed to flee the scene, while detectives recovered 42 boxes containing 50 x 100ml bottles of Broncleer, valued at USD 16,400. The incident highlights ongoing efforts to curb the illegal distribution of controlled substances. Investigations are underway to track down the fugitive driver and dismantle the supply network.
