ZANU PF Women’s League Engages Female Ministers on Women’s Empowerment

The ZANU PF Women’s League convened a meeting with female ministers and deputy ministers to discuss strategies for advancing women’s empowerment through government ministries.

The session, led by the Secretary for Women’s Affairs, Hon. Mabel M. Chinomona, focused on strengthening collaboration between the Women’s League and female leaders in government.

In her welcoming remarks, Hon. Chinomona expressed gratitude to the attendees, acknowledging their commitment to the party and the women’s empowerment agenda. She emphasized the importance of working together to promote, empower, and protect women, urging ministers to identify opportunities within their ministries that directly benefit women.

The meeting also assessed the role of gender desks in government institutions in implementing economic empowerment policies, promoting gender equality, addressing gender-based issues, and enhancing support services for women and girls. Hon. Chinomona reminded the ministers of their duty as party appointees to remain responsive to the needs and concerns of women, ensuring that the ZANU PF Women’s League’s agenda is effectively integrated into government policies.

The engagement underscored the party’s commitment to women’s development, reinforcing the expectation that female ministers play a central role in shaping policies that uplift and support women across Zimbabwe.
