Minister Muswere Tours Impact Projects in Kwekwe, Highlights Economic Progress

Dr. Jenfan Muswere, the Minister of Information, Publicity, and Broadcasting Services, is in Kwekwe to assess the progress of key developmental projects in the Midlands province. The Minister’s visit comes as part of a broader government initiative to showcase the strides made under the Second Republic in driving economic growth and development.

During the tour, Minister Muswere highlighted the significant progress Zimbabwe has made in circumventing the effects of sanctions. He pointed out that such efforts have paved the way for major investments, including the Dinson Iron and Steel project, which is expected to play a crucial role in boosting the country’s industrial capacity. Several other projects across the province are also at various stages of completion, all aimed at realizing the nation’s vision of becoming an upper-middle-income economy by 2030.

Minister Muswere was accompanied by Honourable Owen Ncube, the Midlands Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, as well as their teams. The group toured the Kwekwe Rehabilitation Centre in Amaveni Suburb, where they received updates on ongoing initiatives to improve infrastructure and social services in the area.

This visit underscores the government’s continued commitment to fostering sustainable development in all provinces as part of the broader national economic transformation agenda.
