ZIFA President Magwizi Extends Olive Branch to Rivals

ZIFA President Nqobile Magwizi has reached out to contestants from the January 25 ZIFA executive committee elections, calling for unity and collaboration.

Magwizi, who won the election decisively, has urged all contestants to unite and contribute to the development of football.

“I want to acknowledge Machana Philemon, Gore Marshall, Twine Phiri, Makwinji-Soma Phiri, Martin Kweza, Temba Mliswa, W. Magaya, Benjani Mwaruwari, Banda, and everyone who stepped up.”

“Football isn’t about one winner. Your contributions MATTER,” he wrote on X.

The ZIFA president recognized the contestants’ contributions to football despite their unsuccessful bids in the election.

“Even if the race didn’t go your way, you are still part of the heartbeat of Zimbabwean football,” Magwizi reiterated.

For football to thrive, national unity is essential. The winner must embrace the losers, and together, they must move forward in unison.

The ZIFA president’s appeal highlights his generosity and dedication to advancing football.

Magwizi emphasized the need for collaborative efforts among football stakeholders.
