The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has further reviewed downwards the price of Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) with effect from the 7th of January 2025.

ZERA reduced the price of LPG on the 1st of January following the exemption from value-added tax (VAT). The latest reduction is a welcome intervention by the government.

The price of LPG in United States Dollars, has been set at US$1.58 per Kg from US$1.61.The ZiG price has been reviewed to ZWG40.91 per Kg from ZWG41.63.

The price reduction is a strategic measure by the government to mitigate the rising costs associated with LPG.
