Holy Ground International Church Riverside Mhundwa Village – In a heartfelt address to his congregation and the wider community, Apostle P. Marozva of Holy Ground International Church urged the nation to engage in fervent prayer against road accidents and to intercede for the upcoming rain season. His call comes at a crucial time as the country grapples with the consequences of the recent drought and the pressing need for food production.
Apostle Marozva began his message by addressing the alarming rise in road accidents, which he attributed to various factors, including reckless driving, inadequate road safety measures, and distracted behavior. “We cannot ignore the increasing number of accidents on our roads,” he stated. “As a community, we need to come together in prayer to seek God’s protection over our roads and the safety of every traveler.”
He referenced Psalm 121:7-8, which promises divine protection: “The Lord will keep you from all harm; he will watch over your life. The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” Apostle Marozva encouraged his congregation to pray for safety on the roads, invoking God’s guidance and protection for all motorists and pedestrians. “Let us intercede for those who travel, that they may reach their destinations safely and without incident,” he implored.
In addition to praying against road accidents, Apostle Marozva also emphasized the need for prayer for the forthcoming rain season. The apostle reminded the congregation of the devastating impact of the recent El Niño-induced drought, which has led to food shortages and affected many farmers across the nation. “We need the rain to nourish our land and provide for our families,” he said. “It is essential that we turn to God in prayer, asking for His mercy and provision.”
He cited James 5:17-18, which speaks of the power of prayer in bringing about change: “Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.” Apostle Marozva emphasized the importance of collective prayer and faith, urging everyone to participate in a national day of prayer dedicated to these urgent needs.
The apostle called on churches, community leaders, and individuals to join together in prayer on a designated day, asking for God’s intervention in both the prevention of road accidents and the provision of rain for agricultural purposes. “Let us unite our hearts in prayer, believing that God hears us and will answer our cries,” he stated.
As the service concluded, many congregants expressed their commitment to participate in the prayer initiative, recognizing the need for divine intervention in their lives and communities. Holy Ground International Church continues to foster a spirit of unity and prayer, encouraging its members to engage actively in intercession for their nation.
