Zimbabwe Ready for Expo 2025 Osaka

Under the leadership of President E.D. Mnangagwa, Zimbabwe continues to garner international recognition, with the country being selected to participate in Expo 2025 Osaka in Japan, scheduled from April 13 to October 30, 2025. This positive development was presented to the cabinet on July 9, 2024, by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Honourable Dr. Frederick Shava.

Expo 2025 Osaka, running under the theme “Beyond the Limits,” presents a significant opportunity for Zimbabwe to showcase the Second Republic’s achievements and investment potential to a global audience. Preparations for the Expo have begun in earnest, with the private sector engaged in providing services required to mount a successful exhibition. The private sector is also expected to develop projects to be profiled under the Tourism, Investment, and Trade categories of the Expo.

Organizations like the Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries (CZI) and the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC) have been mobilized to support planned activities and supply products for sale at the Commercial Section during the Expo. Zimbabwe will exhibit products and services representing its diverse economic sectors, including Agriculture, Manufacturing, Mining, Tourism, and Technology. The country will also promote its trade and investment opportunities to a global audience while showcasing its rich cultural heritage through live performances and demonstrations.

Zimbabwe’s participation in Expo 2025 Osaka is anticipated to yield several benefits, including the establishment of new partnerships and the attraction of investment from new markets in Japan and other participating countries. The country will demonstrate its economic strengths and attract investment in various sectors, forge a strong global presence, and market itself as a premier destination for tourism, investment, and trade, potentially drawing significant foreign direct investments.

This participation promises to be a significant milestone for Zimbabwe, fostering international collaboration and showcasing the nation’s potential on a global stage.
