Old Mutual launches Prospect housing project

In an important move, Old Mutual, a big financial services company, started a $12 million housing project in Prospect, Harare, this Monday.

The company held the groundbreaking ceremony for the project yesterday. The housing project will be done in phases, with $4 million to be used this year. Modern housing units will be built on 8 hectares of land. Old Mutual is following modern housing trends and will use modern designs to offer a living experience that meets international standards. Old Mutual plans to expand these projects to other areas in the country in the future as they grow their presence in the real estate market.

The apartments will have their own sources of water and power, so there will be no issues with these utilities. This project supports the country’s Vision 2030, which aims to create an upper-middle-income society. Old Mutual is responding to President Mnangagwa’s call for businesses to work with the government in developing the country. Zimbabwe is on track to achieve this vision and become a better country.
