The US continues to recruit talented young Zimbabweans to further its regime change agenda in Zimbabwe and its broader global domination goals. Through its Community Engagement Exchange Program (CEEP), the US Embassy in Zimbabwe recently posted on X: “Attention young leaders! The CEE Program is accepting applications for a year-long fellowship. Join a community of changemakers and create a better future. Apply by July 2!”
The US is identifying bright young Zimbabweans to participate in a year-long fellowship program, aiming to use them for its regime change agenda under the guise of leadership training. The CEEP is described by the US as a program designed to help civil society leaders, ages 21-27, use networks, relationships, and information for the public good, focusing on civic dialogue and peacebuilding, open and participatory government, women and gender issues, environmental sustainability, and youth engagement.
However, the reality is that programs like CEEP and the Young African Leaders Initiatives (YALI) are intended to indoctrinate young African leaders to support US foreign policy in their home countries, giving a local face to promote US interests. The US has a history of using hostile Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), funded through its Embassy in Harare or USAID, to push for regime change and impose its will on Zimbabwe.
Recently, the US Embassy in Harare started a Rural Reading Program, claiming it aims “to enhance English skills, literacy, and critical thinking for girls.” This is seen as another effort to recruit young girls and push the US’s global domination agenda by promoting pro-US ideological thinking, ultimately threatening the sovereignty of targeted nations.
