Feli Nandi Eyes History with HICC Live Recording Concert

By Aldridge Dzvene

HARARE – Award-winning Zimbabwean musician Feli Nandi is set to make history on August 14, 2026, when she headlines A Night with Feli Nandi Vol. 9, a landmark live recording concert at the Harare International Convention Centre (HICC).

Organised by Gateway Stream Media under the theme, “A Night with Feli – Fill Up HICC,” the concert is expected to be one of the biggest local music events of the year, featuring a high-calibre production, electrifying performances and a celebration of the singer’s fast-growing musical catalogue.

Gateway Stream Media Manager Elton Kurima said the event marks a significant milestone for both Feli Nandi and Zimbabwe’s creative industry.

“We are bringing a massive, high-calibre production to the stage that truly honours Feli’s journey. This is going to be an unforgettable night for music lovers, and we are ready to welcome thousands of fans to be part of local entertainment history,” said Kurima.

He said today’s audiences expect more than just a musical performance, adding that organisers have invested heavily in world-class sound, lighting and visual storytelling to deliver an immersive experience.

“Fans today don’t just want to watch a performance; they want an immersive experience where every detail, from the sound engineering to the visual storytelling on stage, is flawless. We have raised the bar on the technical side to match the raw energy of the music. Fans are going to witness a night where local talent meets top-notch execution,” he said.

To make the concert accessible to more fans, organisers have introduced several promotional ticket offers. In partnership with MWOS FC, supporters who purchase selected items at participating MWOS outlets will qualify to buy concert tickets for US$8.

Students have also been offered discounted tickets at US$5 upon presentation of a valid student identification card. The special tickets are available at Rainbow Towers Hotel & Conference Centre and KwaNandi Restaurant.

Early bird tickets remain available through multiple outlets, with standard tickets selling for US$10 and VIP tickets priced at US$30. Tickets can be purchased at Rainbow Towers Hotel & Conference Centre, All MedOrange Pharmacies, KwaNandi Restaurant, or online through the Gateway Stream Media ticketing platform.

As part of preparations for the landmark concert, Feli Nandi recently completed a nationwide promotional tour that took her to Kwekwe, Chegutu, Marondera, Gweru, Mutare, Masvingo and Kadoma, building momentum ahead of the HICC show.

Known for her rich vocals and emotionally driven performances, Feli Nandi is one of Zimbabwe’s leading Afro-soul and Afro-fusion artists. She began her career as a backing vocalist with Mhodzi Tribe before launching a successful solo career with the hit song Mufudzi WeMombe. She has since released popular tracks including Munhu Wangu, Unotyei, Ndoona Iwe and Muranda.

Her achievements have earned her several accolades, including Outstanding Female Musician of the Year and the People’s Choice Award at the National Arts Merit Awards (NAMA) 2024, as well as Best Female Artist and Best Alternative Artist at the Zimbabwe Music Awards 2023.

Beyond music, Feli Nandi is also the founder of Feli Nandi Apparel, reflecting her growing influence in Zimbabwe’s fashion and creative industries.

Organisers say the concert is expected to reinforce HICC’s position as Zimbabwe’s premier venue for world-class live entertainment while further cementing Feli Nandi’s status as one of the country’s leading musical voices.
