
MT DARWIN – Member of Parliament for Mt Darwin East Constituency, Hon. Dzidzai Butau, has donated wheelchairs to people with disabilities and joined Karanda Mission Hospital in supporting vulnerable children through the distribution of blankets and school books.
The wheelchairs were handed over to beneficiaries in Ward 27, Nyamazizi, under Councillor Muvata, and Ward 14, Karanda, under Councillor Chigango, as part of efforts to improve mobility and access to essential services for people with disabilities.

Later, the legislator attended a handover ceremony organised by Karanda Mission Hospital in Ward 27, Nyamazizi, where the institution donated blankets and school books to 71 orphans.
Hon. Butau commended Karanda Mission Hospital for its continued support of vulnerable children, saying the donation would help improve the welfare and educational opportunities of the beneficiaries.
The blankets and educational materials are expected to provide warmth and learning support to the orphans, while reinforcing community efforts to care for vulnerable children.
Hon. Butau reiterated his commitment to working with development partners, community leaders and other stakeholders to improve the lives of residents in Mt Darwin East, in line with the principle of leaving no one behind.
