ZIFA Sets Deadline for Junior Teams and Players Registration

Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has issued a final notice for club and player registration on the Connect System, with a deadline of Monday, 18 May 2026, for all provincial and junior teams.

To comply, clubs must update their profiles, register players, upload required documentation, and capture team officials. No late registrations will be accepted, and only properly registered players and clubs will participate in sanctioned competitions.

ZIFA is reviving junior football structures through partnerships, including the BancABC Roots Impact Programme, aiming to establish national U-14 and U-16 leagues across 10 provinces. Key initiatives include:

The partnerships with the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education is set to integrate football into schools and enhance infrastructure development through FIFA Forward 2.0.

The association is introducing structured leagues from local academy level to National First Division League in the country’s ten provinces.

Talent development programs, including U-15 and U-17 involvement in African Schools Football Championship is one of the initiatives by ZIFA to develop football in the country.

Clubs with technical difficulties should contact their provincial administrator or ZIFA Club Registration Department before the deadline.
