Schools Invited to Tap into Experiential Learning Through HEXA 2026 Packages

Harare, Zimbabwe — Schools across Zimbabwe have been invited to adopt structured educational travel programmes following the launch of 2026 school tour packages by Heritage Expeditions Africa (HEXA), aimed at enhancing experiential learning beyond the classroom. The initiative introduces organised 2 to 4-day educational tours designed to integrate curriculum-based learning with practical exposure to the country’s heritage, environment, and tourism assets.

According to HEXA, the programmes are structured to strengthen critical thinking, teamwork, and real-world understanding among students while ensuring safety through coordinated transport, guided activities, and planned accommodation.

The packages cover key destinations across Zimbabwe, including Harare, Victoria Falls, Kariba, Bulawayo, Nyanga, and Masvingo, offering students exposure to historical sites, landmarks, and conservation areas.
In Harare, students will tour key national institutions such as the National Heroes Acre and the New Parliament of Zimbabwe, while in Masvingo, learners will engage with heritage studies through guided visits to the Great Zimbabwe monument.

The Victoria Falls package provides exposure to one of the world’s leading natural attractions, the Victoria Falls, alongside ecosystem-based learning activities, while Nyanga and Matobo programmes focus on geography, archaeology, and environmental studies through field experiences.

Prices range from USD 150 to USD 320 per student, depending on destination and duration, with packages covering accommodation, meals, transport, and guided tours. Tourism and education stakeholders view the initiative as a step toward strengthening domestic tourism while aligning learning with Zimbabwe’s cultural and environmental assets. The model is also expected to support the country’s broader strategy of integrating education with practical skills and heritage appreciation.

Heritage Expeditions Africa, which operates across Zimbabwe and the wider Southern and East African region, specialises in heritage-based travel, educational tours, and corporate excursions. Bookings and enquiries are being coordinated through the company, with support from industry partner Rainbow Tourism Group.
