President Mnangagwa Effects Cabinet Minister Reassignments Under Constitutional Mandate

Harare, President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa has reassigned Cabinet Ministers in terms of Section 104, subsection 1 of the Constitution of Zimbabwe, in a move aimed at realigning Government portfolios and strengthening administrative focus across key sectors.

President Mnangagwa reassigned Honourable Dr Jenfan Muswere from the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services to the Ministry of Skills Audit and Development, where he is now expected to lead national programmes on skills mapping and workforce development.

President Mnangagwa also reassigned Honourable Professor Paul Mavima as Minister of National Housing and Social Amenities, placing him in charge of housing delivery, urban development and social amenities planning.

In the same set of changes, President Mnangagwa appointed Honourable Dr Zhemu Soda as Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, entrusting him with the Government’s communication, media and broadcasting policy portfolio.

The ministerial reassignments were made in line with President Mnangagwa’s constitutional authority to appoint and allocate ministerial responsibilities, with the adjustments expected to enhance efficiency, policy implementation and service delivery across Government.
