Across Harare Province, cells buzzed with energy as leaders and members came together, blending verification, recruitment, and empowerment initiatives into a single coordinated push that touched every corner of the districts.

At the centre of this momentum was Provincial Political Commissar Cde Voyage Dambuza, whose multi-district presence signalled leadership that is present, accessible and deeply engaged. From Dzivarasekwa Gukurahundi District Cell 1,2,3, to Highfield and Borrowdale East Distric, Cde Dambuza guided the programme with precision, ensuring that each cell not only updated its membership registers, confirmed participation and welcomed new members, but also embraced opportunities to stimulate local livelihoods, support micro-projects and catalyse everyday economic activity.
At Dzivarasekwa Gukurahundi District Cell 1, Cde Dambuza joined ZANU PF Politburo member Cde Omega Hungwe to oversee proceedings that combined structural strengthening with practical action. The emphasis was clear, cells are not just organisational units, they are engines of community engagement and opportunity, spaces where members can participate in projects that bring tangible benefits while embedding themselves within the party’s grassroots framework. Verification of registers and active participation was seamlessly linked to empowerment discussions, demonstrating that organisation and opportunity can move in tandem.
In Highfield, the programme gathered additional momentum with the presence of the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Harare Metropolitan Province, Honourable Charles Zvidzayi Tavengwa, M.P., who reinforced the message of development from the ground up. Leaders engaged provincial political committee comrades and cell members in conversations about initiatives that directly address livelihoods, promote local enterprise, create youth opportunities and ensure that empowerment is not abstract, but measurable in projects, jobs, skills and economic participation.
Borrowdale added another layer of intensity, with Cde Dambuza joined by Chairman Godwin Masimirembwa, highlighting a leadership approach that is present across multiple communities, ensuring that each cell receives attention, guidance and resources to carry out projects. Several cells were assigned practical tasks and small-scale initiatives, turning participation into action, strengthening capacity and providing a platform for members to grow economically and socially while remaining active within the party’s structures.
Throughout the day, the emphasis was on linking organisation with real-world results, transforming cells from passive units into vibrant hubs of activity, growth and empowerment. Accurate membership registers, continuous verification, and embodied participation ensured that the party’s foundation remains strong, responsive and capable of driving programmes that benefit communities directly.
Analytically, the 2026 National Cell Day in Harare Province reflected a seamless integration of mobilisation, opportunity, and leadership presence. The Voyage Dambuza-led engagements projected a model of leadership that is proactive, connected and action-oriented, turning cells into platforms where organisational strength, community involvement, and economic stimulation converge. By the end of the day, membership was verified, new members welcomed, projects initiated, and empowerment pathways amplified, leaving behind a surge of energy and momentum that reinforced both the party’s structural integrity and its commitment to uplifting communities across the province.
