Harare, Zimbabwe, The Secretary for Security of ZANU PF and Minister of State Security, Honourable Lovemore Matuke, has called on party members to uphold unity and avoid airing internal disagreements in public, describing recent infighting as “disturbing developments.”
In a statement released this week, Matuke urged leaders to refrain from attacking one another at rallies or on social media, stressing that ZANU PF is a party built on inclusivity and shared responsibility.

He highlighted that while differences of opinion are natural, the manner in which they are addressed matters, urging leaders to exercise humility, restraint, and respect. Matuke also condemned the intimidation or disparagement of ordinary members, emphasizing that the party should remain focused on advancing Zimbabwe’s development and securing a better future for all.
The statement comes as internal competition intensifies within ZANU PF, with factions vying for influence, and is seen as an effort to steer the party away from public spats and back toward its core objectives.
