Navaya’s outstanding performance, which included winning the Golden Boot with 17 goals in the 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) season, earned him the top honour.

In other award categories, former Scotland FC Coach Tonderayi Ndiraya was named Coach of the Year for the second consecutive season, after guiding Scotland FC to their maiden title in their debut season. Last season, he won the championship with Simba Bhora.
