Ambassador Sanyatwe Commissioned Oliver Juru Multi Purpose Sport Facility

Goromonzi — The Minister of Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture Ambassador Sanyatwe today commissioned the new Oliver Juru Multi-Purpose Sport Facility at Oliver Juru Primary School.

” The facility represents national progress and the Government’s commitment to leaving no one and no place behind”, said Ambassador Sanyatwe.

The ceremony was attended by senior Government officials, traditional leaders, school administrators, councillors, ZANU PF leadership, teachers, pupils and community members.

Lft General ( Rtd) Ambassador Sanyatwe staed that, the facility directly supports Vision 2030 and the transition from NDS1 to NDS2.

“Sports development is vital for youth empowerment, community unity and economic growth”, added Ambassador Sanyatwe.

He highlighted that the strategic placement of the facility in rural Goromonzi ensures equal access for all residents young , old men and women.

The Honorable Minister emphasised the critical role of such infrastructure in combating drug and substance abuse among young people.

He praised the efforts of Honourable Bvute MP for Goromonzi North.

Ambassador Sanyatwe also acknowledged Deputy Minister Honorable Emily Jesaya who could not attend due to official duties in Namibia for championing community sports facilities as part of the national drug abuse prevention strategy.

The Minister emphasized the community to fully utilise the new facility for sports, recreation, talent development and cultural programmes.
