Mayor Mafume Unveils Plans To Upgrade Harare City

Harare Mayor Jacob Mafume has pledged to upgrade the city’s infrastructure and services, outlining initiatives to enhance healthcare, sports, and revenue collection. Speaking at the 194th Ordinary Council Meeting, Mafume announced plans to improve medical services at city clinics, with a $2 annual fee for access, backed by ZB Bank.

The city aims to establish a maternity ward, station ambulances at Mbare and Tariro Hospital, and renovate the National City Sports Centre. Mafume also addressed concerns over wetlands preservation, affordable rentals, and corruption in billboard advertising.
