The Last ZANU PF Inter-District Zone 6 Meeting a Success

Story by Godfrey M Bonda

Mbare – On Tuesday 25 November, Rufaro Stadium in Mbare was filled beyond capacity with ZANU PF supporters from Zone 6 for the last Harare Province inter-district meeting.

ZANU PF Harare Province Chairperson, Cde Godwills Masimirembwa, said the series of inter-district meetings had covered Zones 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, and stressed that no busing of supporters had taken place.

“I want to respect Cde Tagwirei, who was co-opted into the Central Committee,” he said, adding that the province had engaged him on how to popularise ZANU PF in an urban set-up.

Central Committee member, Cde Dr Kudakwashe Tagwirei, said the land tenure programme was open to everyone with title deeds. He highlighted that Zimbabwe’s GDP now stands at 15 billion US dollars and that only 20 percent of basic goods are now imported into the country.

“Forty-five tonnes of gold are now being exported from the mining sector and Zimbabwe is now in the top five countries that mine lithium,” Dr Tagwirei said.

He also noted that Zimbabwe no longer has debts owed to any embassy and that the e-passport system is part of National Development Strategy 1 (NDS1). Improving roads and sewer systems, he added, falls under NDS2, which is still to be fully addressed.

“Minister Mavetera of ICT is going to help us with the installation of WiFi in public places,” Dr Tagwirei said.

ZANU PF National Political Commissar, Cde Munyaradzi Machacha, told supporters that the economy is on a recovery path and that politics is there to safeguard economic gains.

People living with disabilities received 50 000 US dollars during the event, while Gogo Hwiza was promised 25 000 US dollars by President Cde Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa.

Cde Voyage Dambuza and Cde Kandishaya were credited for helping make the event a success.

There were energetic performances from “Mai Welly” hitmaker Chief Hwenje, Enzo Ishall, Andy Muridzo and Jnr Spragga, who kept the crowd entertained.

Cde Lincon, the Provincial Chairperson from Mashonaland East Province, also attended the event.
