Rodwell Thabe appointed substantive CEO of PSL

Rodwell Thabe

Rodwell Thabe has been appointed as the substantive Chief Executive Officer of the Premier Soccer League (PSL) effective November 1, 2025.

This move comes after a merit-based selection process, recognizing Thabe’s strategic vision and leadership skills. With over 13 years of experience at the PSL, Thabe has been instrumental in improving the league’s profile and operational efficiency, particularly during his tenure as Acting CEO since February 2025.

Thabe holds an MBA and a BSc in Computer Science, and his appointment is seen as a key step in strengthening the league’s administrative structures and elevating Zimbabwean football standards.

The PSL Board of Governors expressed full support for Thabe, anticipating a new era of professional excellence, financial stability, and competitive football
