Nation Gears Up for 2026 Pre-Budget Seminar in Bulawayo

The stage is being set at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair Grounds in Bulawayo for the 2026 Pre-Budget Seminar, which will take place from 5 to 8 November 2025. The annual event is a cornerstone in the country’s fiscal planning process, allowing Members of Parliament and various stakeholders to exchange insights and ideas on key national priorities before the National Budget is presented.

More than a formality, the Pre-Budget Seminar represents a space for deep consultation and constructive dialogue, where legislators engage with economic data, projections, and policy frameworks to ensure that the national budget reflects the collective will and needs of the nation. It is a crucial step in strengthening Parliament’s oversight role in public finance management.

This year’s discussions are expected to focus on balancing economic growth with fiscal sustainability, enhancing domestic resource mobilization, and ensuring that every dollar spent contributes directly to development outcomes under Vision 2030. The gathering also symbolizes Zimbabwe’s commitment to participatory governance, where open dialogue, accountability, and shared responsibility remain central to the nation’s economic transformation.
