According to the PSL charge sheet, Chiragwi faces allegations of violent and disorderly conduct and improper behaviour likely to bring the game of football into disrepute. The charges stem from an incident in which he allegedly slapped one of his own players during a heated exchange on the touchline.

The altercation occurred moments after Dynamos scored an equaliser in the 34th minute, a goal that the Ngezi Platinum bench fiercely contested, arguing that a foul had been committed in the build-up. The emotional outburst quickly escalated, drawing attention from match officials and fans alike.

In addition to the coach’s charges, Ngezi Platinum Stars as a club has been cited for disturbing the normal proceedings of the game and improper conduct by members of the technical team and players.

The PSL’s move underscores its commitment to upholding discipline, professionalism, and respect in the domestic league. Observers note that the case could set a precedent on how the league handles in-house indiscipline that occurs publicly, particularly from technical teams expected to lead by example.

The outcome of the hearing will be closely watched by clubs, fans, and administrators, as it comes at a crucial stage of the season where tensions are high and the battle for league positions intensifies.
