The ruling party’s annual indaba will see the President unveiling the Mega Market Milling Plant and the National Pharmaceutical (NatPharm) Warehouse at Victoria Chitepo Provincial Hospital, two milestone projects that align with the government’s push for industrialisation, value addition, and improved service delivery.

The President will also lead a tree-planting ceremony at the site of the new ZANU PF provincial offices, symbolising the party’s enduring commitment to sustainable development and environmental protection.

ZANU PF National Chairperson Cde Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri said preparations were almost complete following a final inspection of the venue and surrounding infrastructure.

We are now ready to host the conference. Roads have been rehabilitated, power infrastructure upgraded, and logistics are in place. The President will also commission key projects that demonstrate the Second Republic’s commitment to people-centred development,” she said.

Cde Muchinguri-Kashiri revealed that close to US$4 million has been mobilised to cover major expenses, including accommodation and catering for the thousands of delegates expected to attend. She added that any surplus food would be donated to hospitals, orphanages, and vulnerable communities in the province.

The conference, which runs under the theme “Attainment of Vision 2030 Through Economic Empowerment and Value Addition,” will also feature a grand music gala at the Mutare Showgrounds to close the proceedings.

The event is expected to highlight ZANU PF’s developmental vision, showcase progress under the National Development Strategy 1 (NDS1), and set the tone for the transition into NDS2, as Zimbabwe advances towards becoming an upper middle-income economy by 2030.

Cde Muchinguri-Kashiri said the overwhelming support from business partners and the community reflects growing confidence in President Mnangagwa’s leadership.“ZANU PF remains a people’s party. The enthusiasm we have witnessed shows that the nation stands solidly behind the President’s transformative agenda,” she said.

With the stage set and infrastructure in place, Mutare is poised to host one of the most significant gatherings on the ZANU PF calendar, a convergence of political leadership, economic vision, and national renewal.
