ZRP spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi clarified that the Commissioner-General of Police and senior officers only became aware of the case on Thursday night after the issue was raised by a journalist.

“The public is urged to refrain from spreading falsehoods and allow police to conduct thorough investigations,” Nyathi said, adding that further updates will be provided.
