The 115th edition of the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show is underway, providing a dynamic platform for advancing agriculture, industry, and commerce under the theme “Building bridges, connecting Agriculture, Industry and Commerce.” Running until 30 August 2025, the Show brings together local and international stakeholders, showcasing innovations across five key sections: Agri-produce, Tobacco, Cotton, Livestock, and the Commercial Exhibition. Participation from countries including South Africa, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, Ghana, Nigeria, Pakistan, Palau, and China underscores Zimbabwe’s growing role as a regional hub for agribusiness and trade.
Beyond exhibition, the event hosts major business and knowledge-sharing activities designed to strengthen the sector’s competitiveness. These include the Annual National Agribusiness Conference, the Research for Agricultural Excellence and Technology Indaba, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) discussions, the Zimbabwe Agricultural Media Awards, the Exhibitors Cocktail, the Golf Tournament, and the Annual ZAS Schools Quiz. These events highlight a holistic approach to agriculture, linking production with innovation, trade, education, and sustainability.
The official opening of the Show will be marked by the presence of His Excellency, President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa, reflecting regional diplomatic and economic cooperation. The Show represents a strategic platform for Zimbabwe to attract investment, facilitate knowledge transfer, and promote regional trade integration, demonstrating the sector’s pivotal role in the country’s economic diversification and industrialisation agenda.
With Zimbabwe continuing to prioritise agribusiness as a driver for economic growth, the 2025 Agricultural Show serves as both a showcase of progress and a springboard for partnerships that enhance productivity, competitiveness, and export potential. The convergence of international participants, business leaders, and innovators positions the event not just as an exhibition, but as a critical engine for strengthening Zimbabwe’s presence in regional and global agricultural value chains.
