Highlanders appoint Kindman Ndlovu interim CEO

Highlanders Interim CEO. Kindman Ndlovu

Bulawayo Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) giants, Highlanders Football club has appointed its executive member Kindman Ndlovu as the Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) following the sudden resignation of the fraud accused Brian Moyo last Saturday.

The club made the announcement in a statement,

“Following the resignation of Brian Moyo as the Chief Executive Officer, Highlanders Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. kindman Ndlovu, as Interim Chief Executive Officer”, read the club statement.

The club expressed its confidence in Ndlovu’s leadership qualities and ability to take the club to the next level. The club did not state when a substantive appointment will be announced.

Moyo left the club after only four months at the helm after serious allegations of fraud were raised. He allegedly pocketed US$5,000 in a player transfer deal involving Bulawayo Chiefs. Highlanders paid US$23,000 for two players when it was supposed to release US$18,000.

The turnover rate of CEOs at the club is a cause of concern to stakeholders. Kindman Ndlovu comes in as the fourth CEO of the club in a year. With the club fighting to rediscover its mojo and clinch the PSL title, the ructions at the top are likely to impact the team’s performance on the field of play.
