GMB Announces Producer Prices for 2024/25 Season, Sets Winter Wheat Incentive Price

The Grain Marketing Board (GMB) has released the approved producer prices for the 2024/25 summer cropping season and the incentive planning price for 2025 winter wheat. The pricing structure aims to support national food security while maintaining macroeconomic stability.

Summer Producer Prices (USD/MT):

Maize: $376.48

Traditional Grains: $376.48

Soybean: $580.00

Sunflower: $668.98

Winter Wheat Incentive Planning Price (USD/MT):

Wheat: $451.35

GMB will primarily procure grain from farmers under the Presidential Input Programme (PIP) and irrigation schemes, while contractors are expected to buy contracted produce at prevailing market rates. Additionally, GMB, in partnership with Zimbabwe Mercantile Exchange (ZMX), will facilitate commercial warehouse receipts for all stakeholders.
