Book Now“The issuance of title deeds started slowly but has picked up pace, with many farmers visiting our one-stop centre. So far, 2,518 applications have been received, and 525 farmers have applied for mortgages,” said Professor Jiri.
To ease access, the government is decentralising the process to all provinces, reducing the need for farmers to travel long distances to Harare. Banks have also joined the initiative, offering financial support through mortgage arrangements.
More than 12,000 farmers holding 99-year leases are eligible to apply for title deeds, while others can organize surveys in groups to qualify.
