General (Rtd) Sanyatwe sworn in as Sports Minister

His Excellency President ED Mnangagwa has sworn in General (Retd) Anselem Nhamo Sanyatwe as the new Minister of Sport, Art and Recreation. He replaces Honourable Kirsty Coventry who was elected to the post of president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

“Its is indeed a great honour, special recognition from His Excellency. In fact i am also humbled with the confidence and trust that the President has accorded me to lead this speacial Ministry”, Minister General (Retd) Anselem Nhamo Sanyatwe said after the swearing in ceremony.

The new Minister’s work is cut out as there are issues that require his immediate attention such as the upgrade of football stadia in the country to enable the Warriors to play at home.
