Guspy Warrior Set to Drop New LP on March 20 Following Gospel Album Release

By Godfrey M Bonda

Emmanuel Manyeruke also known by his Zimdancehall name Guspy Warrior is a son to one of the greatest gospel artists in Zimbabwe Mechanic Manyeruke.

In a recent interview with the Positive Eye News Media he said that , he attended Grade 1 at St Mary’s Chitungwiza and later attended lessons at Tangenhamo Primary school which is between Zengeza 1 and 5.

“After that I did my O level at Msengezi High school and finished my A level at Prince Edward and I went on straight into music”, said Guspy Warrior.

I sing Zimdancehall because it moves me and I started singing dancehall before it was Zimdancehall and i am going to launch a Long play( LP) on the 20th of March , he shared.

Guspy Warrior explained that,” dancehall and reggae is what I was doing and I am still doing that now and I know my father does gospel and I believe it’s just art but we are two painters in one family”.

I chose to do dancehall because it’s youthful and I am still a youth and it is something I like not that I don’t like gospel, he added.

Guspy Warrior stated that he once did a gospel album called Emmanuel and some gospel singles and he believes that gospel is good news.
” I am not necessarily doing what my father couldn’t do but I also do circular music and a bit of gospel “, Guspy explained.

Guspy highlighted that, ” we all have successes and failures but I like to look at my successes more because they help me to pass my failures and getting this interview to me is a success “.

Emmanuel Manyeruke ( Guspy Warrior) said that, ” changing people’s lives and touching people’s hearts through music is what I want to continue to do”.

In his musical career Guspy Warrior one of the Zimdancehall greatest of all time stated that he once had failures like he did a couple of albums years back but they could not receive good airplay interms of people’s ears.

” I will try hard to retrify that and put measures so that we uplift the brand , because during my era we came an an analog time were they was no social media and we based on CDs and tapes”, said Guspy.

He added that , he will try his best to navigate that through views and online streamings.

Guspy Warrior showed much appreciation to Carrington Chiwadzwa ( Nutty O) from Mbare and Luckmore Tatenda Munetsi ( Triggerman Spartan Warrior) from Ruwa for recognising him as their role model.

” I am a leader and I believe in creating new avenues for the future generations, I used to sing in English and Nutty O sings in English as well”, he added.

Guspy showed much respect to Nutty O as he said that he has waved the Zimbabwean flag high featuring with Jamaican artist like Demarco and it gives him so much joy , knowing that I’m the one who lighted that torch.

Guspy Warrior said that,” youths doing drugs like dombo mutoriro especially artists should shun from that since they are role models to many audiences”.

” Drugs like mutoriro soon is going to be cancerous and youths should stop it it’s better to seek rehabilitation because it is not the end of the world”, Guspy explained.

Guspy Warrior Badman Vibes LP is coming on the 20th of March but his birthday is on the 28th of March but later in October he promised an Album to his fans.
Guspy long back did some notable music track with legends likeWallace Chirumiko( Winky D )on the track called buss di shot, he also featured with Tinodaishe Chinyoka (Sniper Storm) and Darlington Chimwanda( Dhadza D )on
