Unity in Agriculture: Legislators Draw Inspiration from First Family’s Farming Success

Legislators from across Zimbabwe’s political spectrum, including ZANU PF and CCC representatives, recently visited Precabe Farm in Kwekwe to gain insights into the agricultural excellence demonstrated by the First Family.

Hosted by President Emmerson Mnangagwa and First Lady Dr. Auxillia Mnangagwa, the tour underscored the importance of agricultural self-sufficiency and knowledge sharing in advancing the nation’s farming sector.

Addressing the visiting legislators, President Mnangagwa highlighted the need for Zimbabwe to harness its resources to ensure food security. He emphasized that farmers must aim to achieve their full potential while being open to learning from others to enhance their practices.

“I also borrow ideas from those doing better than me to ensure I stay abreast of modern farming trends,” the President candidly shared, underscoring the importance of continuous improvement and innovation in agriculture.

The visit symbolized a rare moment of unity across the political divide, with legislators showing a shared commitment to advancing Zimbabwe’s agricultural productivity. President Mnangagwa expressed gratitude to the legislators for their interest in the farming activities at Precabe Farm, noting that such engagements foster collaboration and mutual learning.

The event also showcased the First Family’s dedication to agriculture as a cornerstone for national development. Precabe Farm stands as a model of modern farming techniques and resource optimization, offering valuable lessons for farmers across the country.

This initiative reflects Zimbabwe’s broader vision of restoring its agricultural heritage and achieving food self-sufficiency.

By promoting collaboration, innovation, and a willingness to learn, the nation is well-positioned to transform its agricultural sector into a driver of economic growth and prosperity.
