Vini Jnr wins FIFA World Player of the year award

It was a befitting recognition for Brazil and Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jnr as he was named The Best FIFA Men’s Player of the Year at the 2024 The Best FIFA awards.

The award follows his snub at the recently held Ballon dor which was widely condemned as the gong went to Manchester City’s Rodrigo.

In the female category, Aitana Bonmatí (Spain and Barcelona) won the The Best FIFA Women’s Player of the Year.
