GMB Agro Shops a Hit with Consumers

The Grain Marketing Board (GMB) has launched 52 agro shops across Zimbabwe, providing relief to consumers exploited by extortionist businesses overpricing basic commodities.

These shops offer affordable access to essentials like maize meal, cooking oil, and washing soap, accepting local currency at the official bank rate.The initiative aims to counteract predatory pricing practices, promoting financial inclusion and stability.

Exciting deals include 10kg maize meal for US$7 (down from US$10) and commercial beef for US$5.50 (down from US$9). The Aspindale GMB Butchery and agro shops have become popular destinations for affordable essentials, offering significant savings for Zimbabweans.

GMB’s presence at the ongoing ZANU PF Business Expo, held alongside the party’s Annual People’s Conference at Bulawayo’s ZITF grounds, has generated significant interest, making its stand one of the most visited.

This initiative aligns with ZANU PF’s economic empowerment policies, demonstrating the party’s commitment to supporting local businesses and promoting economic development.The GMB’s efforts ensure food security and economic stability, making strides as the country’s leading grain trade and marketing company.

With plans to expand further, GMB Agro Shops are poised to continue providing affordable essentials to Zimbabweans nationwide.
