Masvingo-Glen Norah Loop Road Opens, Boosting Traffic Flow in Harare

The newly completed 3km Masvingo-Glen Norah Loop Road, a key part of the ongoing Mbudzi Interchange project, is now open to traffic. This development is expected to greatly alleviate congestion along the highway, improving the daily commute for motorists.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Development, Hon. Felix Mhona, officially opened the Glen Norah Loop, which includes three bridges and marks a significant milestone in the larger Mbudzi Interchange initiative. The minister highlighted that the road will be dualized up to Nemakonde Way, passing through Kuwadzana Roundabout, and extending to Solomon Mujuru Road. Kuwadzana Roundabout is also set to be transformed into a small interchange as part of the broader infrastructure upgrade.

With the Mbudzi Interchange project now 74% complete, the opening of the Glen Norah Loop demonstrates the government’s commitment to easing traffic flow and enhancing infrastructure in Harare. During his address, Hon. Mhona expressed his gratitude to His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa for the ongoing support in transforming the country’s transport infrastructure.

This milestone is expected to streamline traffic movement across Harare and contribute to the city’s long-term urban planning and development.
