2024 Zimbabwe Agricultural Show Prepares with Unmatched Security to Ensure Children’s Safety

The Zimbabwe Agricultural Show Society (ZAS) has completed preparations for the 2024 Zimbabwe Agricultural Show, set to take place from August 26 to August 31 in Harare. This year’s event promises to be one of the safest in its history, with organizers prioritizing the security of all participants, including exhibitors, visitors, farmers, and children.

Dr. Andrew Matibiri, the ZAS Chief Executive Officer, confirmed that all necessary preparations are now finalized, and advanced security measures have been put in place. Drones will be deployed to monitor the event, and children will be tagged with the support of partners to ensure their safety. These measures underscore ZAS’s commitment to providing a secure environment for the 250,000 expected attendees.

The focus on security comes alongside the theme of the 2024 show, “Cultivating Prosperity. Growing Business. Innovation for Change. Nurturing our Future,” which highlights the ongoing transformation of Zimbabwe’s agricultural sector.

In addition to robust security, the event will feature a range of activities, including agricultural displays, business conferences, and entertainment at the Glamis Arena, with live performances and a closing fireworks display.

The entrance fees remain accessible, with prices set at $1 for children and $5 for adults from Monday to Thursday, and $2 for children and $7 for adults on Friday and Saturday.
