RGM International Airport Enhances Facilities with New VVIP Pavilion Ahead of SADC Summit

The Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport (RGMIA) has unveiled a state-of-the-art VVIP Pavilion, timed perfectly for the upcoming 44th SADC Summit. This high-profile facility, part of a broader airport expansion, is set to provide an exclusive experience for distinguished guests.

Designed to elevate the airport’s prestige, the pavilion was completed on schedule, ahead of the regional summit. Airports Company of Zimbabwe CEO, Tawanda Gusha, emphasized the significance of the pavilion, noting its role in the airport’s expansion and its anticipated use by Heads of State attending the summit.

Additionally, the Rainbow Towers Hotel has completed extensive renovations in preparation for the summit. CEO Tendai Madziwanyika revealed that both the hotel’s accommodations and conference facilities have been upgraded to five-star standards, ensuring they are primed for high-level events.

The summit’s arrival not only reinforces Zimbabwe’s standing on the continental stage but also invigorates local business, creating valuable opportunities within the private sector.
