These Western groups are reportedly involved in financing and coordinating the violent protests as part of their foreign policy agenda against Zimbabwe. Their actions are seen as efforts to sustain the illegal sanctions regime by highlighting alleged human rights abuses.

Zimbabwe points out the irony in how it has refrained from criticizing Western countries during crises, such as assassination attempts or police violence, while it seeks similar respect for its own sovereignty and justice.
