ZMF Demands Justice After Mine Worker Assaulted by Chinese Boss

The Zimbabwe Miners Federation (ZMF) has expressed its outrage over the brutal assault of a Zimbabwean mine worker by a Chinese boss at Makanga mine in Bindura. Disturbing footage circulating online shows the worker tied up and hanged from a loader bucket, subjected to cruel and inhumane treatment.

This shocking incident is a direct violation of the Constitution of Zimbabwe, which guarantees the right to personal security and freedom from torture or cruel, inhumane, or degrading treatment or punishment (Section 53(1)). The ZMF is adamant that it will not stand by while its members are subjected to such horrific abuse.
