PSL matches suspended with immediate effect

THE stadium crisis in the country has resulted in the Premier Soccer League suspending all topflight matches with immediate effect until the first of July.

In a statement, PSL Communications and Media Liaison Officer, Kudzai Bare confirmed that the break is meant to allow maintenance works at some of the match venues.

Water reticulation works are expected to be carried out at the National Sports Stadium, while civil works are being carried out at Rufaro Stadium in Harare, Nyamhunga Stadium in Kariba and Sakubva Stadium in Mutare.

The move comes when PSL clubs were preparing for match day 13 where the big match was supposed to be the Battle of the Cities between CAPS United and Highlanders
